Ten Month Old Fun

Fiona had all sorts of big girl fun this week.  She continues to impress us with her increased mobility.  She is crawling well and using her walker as a walker instead of just a perch from which to watch tv.  The other day, she took her walker across the living room and then shuffled her way all the way around the back of a chair to a tray of miscellaneous items that I had intentionally moved there to be out of her way.  She is definitely starting to express frustration, which is trying and amusing.  For instance, she lets out a tempered cry when she runs into the ottoman or something else  that impedes her path with the walker.  The end of the week brought some fun.  She played with cousins Bridget and Luke who were so sweet to her.  Bridget seemed to relish being the older cousin and would bring her toy after toy to play with.  Then Fiona had a little sleepover at my parents.  She was supposedly a delight other than not sleeping well, which we experienced firsthand last night. Her nose is very running, either because of a cold or heavy teething (she does have a new tooth up top with a second one breaking through alongside it).  We tried propping up her mattress but ultimately had to aspirate her a few times in the middle of the night, and then she joined us in bed.  As I write from our bed, Fi woke up and seeing herself on the computer screen just giggled.  Tim said she wanted to make sure I wasn't writing anything slanderous about her (like when she put her foot her in poop during a diaper change).
